It's been around since the mid-'80s, but it feels like the Blue Note has been on West 3rd Street forever. Once you get past a lot of trappings-the grand piano awning, the Las Vegas-interior, steep cover charge, overstuffed gift shop, meals named after great jazz songs. The Blue Note is a truly world-class jazz joint.
